Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Program

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Program at CNA Training Academy prepares current CNAs to administer medications safely and effectively in long-term care and assisted living facilities. This program builds on your CNA foundation and equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to support licensed nurses in providing high-quality patient care with providing medications to clients.
Our instructor-led training includes:
- Classroom instruction
- Hands-on skills lab practice
- Supervised clinical rotation in a nursing facility
Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to take the Oklahoma Medication Aide State Exam.
Program Duration & Schedule Options
The CMA program is 50 clock hours, including 16 clinical hours, offered in flexible schedules:

Admission Requirements
Before attending clinicals, students must complete:
- Active CNA certification in Oklahoma
- Criminal Background Check
- BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association only)
- TB Screening Test
BLS/CPR certification must be completed prior to clinicals.

Program Cost: $600
Total Cost: $600.00

Uniform is not included.
Students are responsible for obtaining their American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification prior to clinicals.
